diversity based on physical origins—birth, family, gender, ethnicity, nationality—can be celebrated with gratitude as gifts from God. At the same time, these things do not ultimately define us: “Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all” (Col. 3:11).
