There should be no consideration of whether we have ‘gone too far’ in changing Britishness to accommodate a more diverse range of identities. Britishness is now fundamentally changed for the better: we are no longer a faded nation of empire but a young, vibrant multicultural country and as a result British culture is one of the dominant forces in the world.
