I got up earlier than I probably had to, but I wasn’t going to face those dreams again, and 1 wanted to be sure I was ready for what I thought would come down. It was still quite early, but it was already fucking hot. The radio that was blasting away in the next apartment said the heat wave would continue for at least ten more days and maybe longer.
