The experiment of batch X280 was successful. After the death bite had taken place, the facility received the cadaver patient. As his body began the
transformation from human to vampire, we administered X280 and it instantaneously stopped the transformation from taking place. The cadaver then began to breathe oxygen again and his heartbeat started up on its own. Recovering from his death state, rigor mortis failed to set in, and the victim soon became a survivor.
I need to see Michel. I need to talk to him. More than anything else, I have a need for him to kiss me.
“Where the hell do I begin?” Sophie speaks up. “Probably at the very beginning. There’s a good chance she may not know.”
“Where… where are we going?” “To get your evidence and show you there are other monsters in this world.” He glares at me for a moment and my heart pounds against my chest. “Amelia, you’re about to find out exactly which ones exist.”
Flashes of memories tease my mind as I recall the way he would look upon me. Those
blue eyes of his, his lips, the way he would gently touch me.
He is my knight. He saved me. No one has ever made me feel wanted and as beautiful as he has. I know I must follow what my heart tells me to be the truth.
The moment after being in true form is the most euphoric state to the werewolf.
“I have you, Amelia. I promise no one will hurt you. No one can get to you. You are safe here.”
Michel was right; he does not want me. When this is all done and over with, he will send me away.
“I see now, to get what I need, the bargaining chip is the woman. My woman.” He slithers back
into the forest again, mumbling to himself. “I’ll taste her. She will be mine!”
I wish he would hold me, tell me it will all be okay, and sleep next to me in my bed… or even on my floor… just something.
