“You have that option too… I know you though, G.” I watched as he took a box from the man restocking and started to put it on the higher shelf. “Pass me that second one… I used to manage a store over in Far Rockaway.” He lied with a straight face. “Oh yeah? I have a cousin over that way… do you know Tyson?” Capp paused, snapped his fingers like he was trying to remember. “Darkskin Tyson?” “Yeahhh!” The man became excited. “Tell him Capp said what’s up… stay up.” He stacked the last box, picked up his cranberry juice, and went to the cash register.
“You tired, but I had to watch this nigga lie to a man in the supermarket… talking about he used to be a manager in Far Rockaway.” I snorted, and leaned back, getting more comfortable in the cozy ass couch.
He shook his head. “You gotta stop living your adult life by the rules that Menace set when we were kids… we won every competition, award, and whatever contest because he said second place was for people that ate crayons.”
I didn’t give a fuck if Inez was a dolphin with timbs on and asked the nigga for a hug. Niggas was gonna die learning about respect when it came to mine.
