Wise As a Serpent; Gentle As a Dove: Dealing With Deception

People do not like to lie outright. You may have read somewhere online that “the average human being tells 250 lies per day…” or something along those lines. It is not true. In fact, the average human being tells very few outright lies in life. More than 90% of deception comes from withholding information. Why is this so?

People drop pronouns when they are being deceptive -it shows a lack of confidence in the statement.
