It’s impossible to give someone the world. You can show them glimpses of yours, hope they join you in it, but to give them the world means you have to be willing to give up your own.
But hindsight is a vicious thing. It mocks you with what should have been done. Teases with how things could still be.
“They didn’t choose this fight,” he says, “so they try to remember what it was like when they weren’t losing.”
