did something stupid Jade You read another dark romance book? Last time you did that, you were weird for like two days Me In my defense, books affect me very strongly
I looked at him again, and another sound tore through the air. It was angrier. More savage. Almost like a snarl. “Look at Nico,” the newcomer barked.
“Do you know about werewolves?” Nico’s friend asked. “Only what I learned from smutty romance books.” The answer slipped out before I could stop it.
“Fantastic,” the friend muttered. “I’ll be back. Don’t look at any other men, and don’t move. Better yet, step closer to Nico.”
“He won’t hurt you,” the friend said quickly. Too quickly. “Nico and his wolf are always in agreement. He probably hasn’t shifted because they don’t think it’s safe for you in here. “You’re going to be fine, Abigail. Just let go,” I repeated. “In my fantasy, you’d be saying that to me while we screwed. Not spouted fur.” A laugh escaped me. It caught me off guard. When was the last time I’d laughed?
“I never thought I’d have a mate. That doesn’t mean I don’t want you, Abigail.” His voice was lower. Rougher.
“Abby, I’ve never even wanted a woman before, and I’ve nearly come in this damn towel half a dozen times since we’ve been in here. Your ass is perfect. Your tits are perfect. Your whole fucking body is perfect. Stop trying to convince me otherwise.”
