“A hundred and twenty-five thousand,” I mutter. Ricky frowns at me. “What?” “That’s how much it will cost you for ten minutes of my time,” I say, my tone emotionless. “Come back when you have my money, and we can sit down and talk.”
“I scared Jenna. Can you come over to comfort her?” “Seriously?” she grumbles. “You’re an asshole, Enzo. Stop stalking her and let her get to know you.” I sigh, then mutter, “Are you coming or not?” “Yeah, but I’m charging you two hundred and fifty thousand for this fuck up. You’re messing with the progress I’m making with Jenna, and that’s not going to fly with me.”
“Please. Be mine. Learn to love me and let me worship you for the rest of my life.” I press my forehead to her abdomen and suck in a deep breath before I groan, “I can’t let you go, Jenna. Don’t make me force you to stay. Become my home and belong to me.”
“I will worship at your feet until the day I die, and even then, I will raise hell to find you in the afterlife.”
