And really … a one-time thing? With the connection they’d had? Yeah fucking right.
“And you just happened to come to my bar? Must be fate.”
“Dude. Ash is such a hard-ass sometimes. How hasn’t he presented as an alpha yet?” “Because his designation is officially ‘mouthy little shit,’ that’s why.”
They needed to talk about it. They 100 percent needed to have a serious discussion. But first … Noah prowled toward Eli and gathered him in his arms, rubbing his face against Eli’s cheeks, his neck, his shoulders, stroking his hands over Eli’s back, his arms, his wrists.
“Can I—can I come in?” Noah asked, hesitant and almost shy. Eli nodded again. He was ready to drag his alpha in if necessary, but it was good Noah was coming willingly. Less hassle.
But right after laying Eli out on the hardwood, Noah cocked his head, eyeing their surroundings blearily. He scooped Eli up in the next instant, walking on his knees while holding him—a seriously impressive feat—until he hit the living room rug. He laid Eli out again, this time with the rug underneath him. Aw. How thoughtful.
“Hey, Noah?” Noah lifted his head from Eli’s neck, his gaze warm and filled with so much love. “Yeah, baby?” “This is the best day of my life too.”
