Lean Startup principles are just as important for internal software engineering projects, including services and platforms such as private clouds, systems replacements, and so forth. Enormous initiatives, with roadmaps of months or even years, constantly pop up for these types of projects, with lip service paid to working incrementally to solve a real (internal) customer problem.
