The truth was, I’d been interested in her long before then. I’d come across her profile on the dating site I was on. Her picture alone captivated me. Then I read her bio and hobbies. Legos. Anime. Technology. Crime shows. Her love of books and cosplay. I. Fell. In. Love.

That moment, . . . the look of shock on their faces when they realized this square ass nerd could actually lay pipe, was one I lived for.

“I guess I should formally introduce myself,” he said with a smile. “My name is Quaid Michaels. I’m twenty-six years old. I own a cyber security company, I’m a big ass nerd, and I would really love to get to know you, Jaeda Dillinger.” I couldn’t help but blush. “It’s very nice to meet you, Quaid.”

“You don’t know it yet, but you, Jaeda Dillinger, . . . you are going to be my wife.”

“Shut the hell up!” I snapped. “It wasn’t too long ago that you three . . .” I pointed to Deuce, Smoke, and Maceo. “Were out here letting anybody fuck and suck on you. I saved myself for a man that was worthy of me, and if that man happens to be Quaid, I’m gonna fuck the shit outta him every chance I get. You have your happiness, and I’m gonna have mine too. Now, it’s late. I want to shower, have me a glass of wine, and build my Legos until I get ready to go to bed. Get the fuck out.”

“I more than like her, sir. I admire her. I’m enamored with her. I am in complete awe of how beautiful she is inside and out. I’ve never felt more compatible with a woman in my life. Jaeda Janelle is going to be my wife.”

“With all due respect, sir, I don’t. Would it be nice? Yes. Is it required? No. I treat and will continue to treat your daughter with nothing but love, care, and respect. Even if none of you never like me, nothing about that will ever change. Your acceptance of me is a you problem.”
