“You’ll find out very quickly how much of a stubborn man I can be, Bella.”
“Because you’re the only woman that I can be myself around and still manage to breathe.”
What is it about the woman with the smattered freckles that has my heart skipping beats at the thought of seeing her tomorrow?
“Are you usually an affectionate person?” I ask coolly. “Tremendously.” Oh, sweet heavens.
The kiss last night was extraordinary, and the one before that. I can’t ignore how she makes me feel because I want to kiss her every chance I get. I want to cook with her and listen to her hum music under her breath. I want to go out with her and run away from people at a carnival and hide in photo booths. I want to count her freckles as I lie in bed with her. I want to make memories with Bella.
There’s my girl, my blazing wildfire.
“She’s like a wildfire. A burning blaze that I have no plans of extinguishing. I don’t care if I get burnt, so long as I can be near her.”
Kieran clutches his chest as if wounded, his jaw open a little as he turns to us. “I’m going to marry that woman.”
You should see how that man stares at you,” she says wistfully. “How does he stare at me?” “Like you’re his reason for breathing.”
“You two will make a gorgeous couple when you both stop being stubborn.”
