Although his statements and publications had no real scientific validity, Jensen gave “scientific” validity to the claims of current racists and, of course, thus, did exactly what the Pioneer Fund wanted. When a person with some scientific legitimacy repeats this cant, it is easier to convince an uneducated public of the old racist myths. Jensen’s myth (coined as “Jensenism”) was basically that IQ is largely hereditary and that different races have inherited different and racially stratified IQs.
