Nonwhites do not have the capacity to realize reason and rational moral perfectibility through education. To Kant, color is evidence of unchanging and unchangeable moral quality and thus ultimately of free will. White Europeans have the necessary talent to be morally self-educating; Asians have some ability to do so but lack the ability to develop abstract concepts.
