Galton, on the other hand, believed that controlled breeding of humans was not only doable but a highly desirable goal. He spent his professional career, from the 1870s until his death in 1911, investigating and writing about the potential and possibilities of eugenics. Galton did not limit his eugenics ideas to individuals but included racial differences as well.
