Though the ravers’ health plan wasn’t that great, the back of my head had been healing and hadn’t gotten infected.

He held up a hand and the corners of his mouth raised in a smile. “I don’t care… I fucked him bloody in the adjacent room as soon as you passed out, so we can just call it a threesome.”

“So you can make like a dozen me’s if you wanted to?” “I would never punish the world so.” I snorted but it turned into a laugh. Elish smiled.

“Do you regret doing it?” I didn’t know why I was asking that. “Yes, it was an error in judgment,” Elish said back to me. “He suffers still from abandonment issues and many other problems I am still having to help him through.” “Yeah, he’s pretty fucked in the head.” Elish gave me a cold look. “I could say the same for yours.” “I never denied it.” I shrugged. “Though chimeras are prone to acting like whackjobs, unfortunately mine doesn’t have an excuse.” Funny enough, Elish chuckled. “He has quite the excuse.”

“He was a demon that walks on earth. A man with yellow eyes and pointed fangs. He’s commanding over thirty of them I think.” Elish’s eyes widened, and the hammering in my heart travelled up to my head. I stared. I stared until I couldn’t take it anymore. The dark chimera started walking again. “This would be a great time for you to reveal to me that Killian is a chimera and that this radiation won’t affect him.” Killian a chimera? That would be one horrible chimera. Discount bin quality.

“There is no relationship!” I snapped. I heard chuckling behind me and I whirled around wanting to punch the silver-haired one, fucking Mr. Chuckles over there, right in the mouth.

Without a thought, I tossed the knapsack down the crater, watching with grim pleasure as the brown bag hit the bottom with a satisfying thunk. A moment later, my own spit joined it (that was for spitting on Elish) and I turned and got back on the quad. “I won’t even ask,” Silas said from behind me. “Just like I won’t ask why you’re on a legion quad, Raven.”
