Perhaps the most overlooked truth about the Holy Spirit is that his presence is intricately tied to the gospel. Jesus told us his Spirit would bring to our remembrance all that he had said and done (John 14:26). The Spirit would convict us of sin, righteousness, and judgment, give us faith, and help us see Jesus’ beauty (John 16:7 – 11). The Holy Spirit, as J. I.
