“I hope you know I’m not letting up on you, Phileigh Cheese.”
“I’m… um… pregnant!” I blurted out in between moans. The words spilled out, and he lifted his face to look at me. “That’s not how this works. You get pregnant after I fuck you.”
I thought he was processing my words, but after staring at me for a second, he returned his head to my center and continued to devour me. Was I supposed to stop him again?
Y’all together?” “No, he blocked me the moment I told him I was expecting. Apparently, my pregnancy doesn’t align with his engagement to a woman I knew nothing about. You’re looking at another statistic,” I said sarcastically.
“What do I have to do to get you and baby Phileigh Cheese to come to New York with me?”
“I know what I want, Phileigh, and I intend to apply the necessary pressure to get it. I want to get to know you, Phileigh Cheese, baby or not. Can you allow me the rest of the week to do so?
“Get some rest, Phileigh Cheese. We got an early morning.”
“He’s literally perfect for you, Phileigh.” “You don’t know that.” “I know guys like him don’t usually go for the plus-size girl. You are letting the entire community down.”
“Kellon?” I skipped town on this man to avoid him, and now, here he was sitting in my house. “Phileigh.” “What… are you doing here? How did you get into my house?” Hell, how did he even know where I lived? I watched him on television a few hours ago at the victory parade. I stared at him as I ran my fingers through my hair in pure confusion. “You ran,” he said, sitting up a little. “And I know how to pick locks.”
“Wait. Is this baby Phileigh Cheese?” He stared at the ultrasound photos tucked in my hand and politely took them from me.
“As far as I’m concerned, this is my baby now. I don’t care who helped you conceive it. God put y’all in my presence for a reason, and I’m not about to fumble this.”
“Naw, male best friends can eat they female friends pussy. It’s called being a considerate friend.” I couldn’t believe he said that with a straight face. “Oh, really?” “Yeah, everybody know that.”
“Don’t you even think about depriving little Phileigh Cheese so you can watch your figure. Give her what she wants, and I’ll work those extra pounds off you later, da fuck?”
“Anything for you, Phileigh Cheese. One introvert to another, we’ve gotta stick together.”
“I’m going to be everything you and baby Phileigh Cheese need.”
“You didn’t do anything that I didn’t enjoy. I’m okay. Baby Phileigh Cheese is okay.”
“That’s huge, Phileigh Cheese. I’m so fucking proud of you.”
“I’m all in, Phileigh Cheese. Are you?”
I’ll see you later tonight, Phileigh Cheese.”
“Thank you, Phileigh Cheese.”
I stared at him. I knew Kellon. I knew when he was holding something in. I saw it in his eyes just like I’d seen the way my attacker was aiming for my stomach. This wasn’t a robbery. This was Reggie.
“I guess the cat’s out the bag. Tell him how long we’ve been a threesome, Ari.” He laughed. “Kellon… it’s not like that…” Ari stood from the bed, trying to put on her clothes, but Lolo caught her with a left hook that immediately had her ass laid out on the floor. Damn! Phileigh never mentioned her bestie being Clarissa Shields.
“Talk that hot shit now, bitch!” Lolo’s voice rang out as she pounded Natalie’s face into the kitchen island.
Jazmine Sullivan appeared in the foyer and began singing our song “Let it Burn,” and Phileigh froze. “Wait, is that Jazmine Sullivan?” she whispered. “Yep.”
“Phileigh Cheese, I’ve loved you since that day I saw you posted up in that stairwell, hiding away from the world.”
