To allow yourself to get that close to someone requires careful consideration. It has to be deliberate, and in my opinion, loving them has to be worth the fear of losing them.

“I came here to keep an eye on Kane because he and your best friend are playing a very dangerous cat-and-mouse game, but when I’m with you, I can’t focus on anything else.”
She’s needy, and I’m willing to give her whatever she asks for. Money? It’s hers. My bed? As long as she doesn’t mind sharing. My last name? Let’s make it official.
“You’re insane.” “I’m not insane,” he argues. “I’m persistent.” “You mean annoying,” I quip. “Charming.” “Irritating.” “Handsome.”
“Take your hand off my fiancée before these cameras catch something you’d be embarrassed about later.”
“We stay engaged. We fool him and everyone else. Either he’ll give up on getting you back, or he’ll follow through and take you to court, where we’ll prove to the judge that every delusion he’s created to tear you down turns out to be just that: a delusion. It’ll make him look like a desperate man who can’t take no for an answer.”
“But you’re my fiancée,” I remind her. “So, what’s mine is yours, babe.”
“Hey, fiancée.” Reese, to my surprise, smiles. “Are you ever going to stop calling me that?” I grin. “Yes. When we get married, I’ll just start calling you wife
“You look perfect,” I admit. “I just meant you need to wear my jersey because you’re mine.”
