and fuck him for being both her destruction and salvation.
“Theon,” she breathed. It was more of a moan, and she’d never said his name like that.
“Good girl,” he groaned, his brow falling to hers.
She didn’t realize just how much he was willing to bleed for her.
“Tell me again, Tessa. What were you thinking about when you were touching yourself in the shower?” “You,” she gasped. “It’s always you, and I hate it.”
“The Arius Heir,” Theon gritted out. “I will be the Arius Lord.” A smirk tilted on the corner of Scarlett’s lips. “Did you hear, Sorin? He’s going to be the Arius Lord.” “I heard, Scarlett,” Sorin replied, golden eyes watching them all warily. “The arrogance certainly tracks for an Arius descendant.”
You don’t get to play on my emotions because you feel them now when you were too inept to understand them before. And you certainly don’t get to ask for my affection because you are jealous of Luka.”
“Only someone attempting to be a good person says ‘thank you,’” she murmured. “Maybe those attempts are futile in the end,” he replied. “Or maybe those attempts are the very thing that make you different from what you believe yourself to be.”
“If I am forever someone else’s, what does that make you, little storm?” “The same thing I’ve always been. Nothing.”

Tessa’s eyes flicked to Luka, who was giving her the shut-the-fuck-up look, then back to Felicity. With her right hand, she made sure the Arius Mark was visible as she reached for her wineglass. “Then I guess that makes them both mine,”

She didn’t understand that the only way he knew how to love was to obsessively possess and protect. She didn’t understand that growing up, his father made sure he was so deprived of safety, sanctuary, and love, that having those things—and making sure those he called his own had them too—became an obsession.
“Yes, well, she has a mouth on her she often forgets to control,” Theon replied through gritted teeth. “Don’t let him fool you,” Tessa said with a simper to her voice as she leaned towards Lange and added, “He’s obsessed with my mouth.”
Let us fight for you, came Luka’s growl again.
trying to figure out fate is wasted time because fate is always changing.”
“And what about you, Luka Mors?” she sneered. “Where do you fall?” “Don’t you know?” he asked, leaning down and whispering in her ear. “Dragons eat the monsters.”
The fucker could Travel. Why didn’t he just go to his cave every night? Probably too far from Theon and their super special Guardian bond.
“Just give in, Theon,” she crooned mockingly, parroting words he’d spoken to her when he’d given her the very first Mark. “Little storm,” he pleaded. “I was trying to save you. I’ve always been trying to save you.” With another vicious smile, she said, “You failed. I suppose you’re used to such a thing by now, though.”
