A Spool of Blue Thread

When my own children were little they certainly derailed my writing life, but then when I was able to pick it up again I had so many more layers to me, and I felt I knew so much more about the world.

I have always been touched and fascinated by how human beings in general manage to just keep on keeping on—how they don’t give up on each other and how they set out every day all over again, even when they know it won’t be any different from the day before.
