Even the pro-choice movement doesn’t try to protect all “choices.” Many pro-choice advocates oppose the choice not to join a labor union, the choice to own a firearm, or the choice not to hire a person because of his sexual behavior. Just as pro-choice advocates can restrict their definition of choice to mean “access to legal contraception and abortion,” pro-life advocates should restrict their definition of life to mean “the legally recognized right to life of all human beings.”
