But in another sense, it won’t be the same creation. It will be different from the old. When Jesus was raised from death, his body wasn’t the same: he’s walking through locked doors, appearing out of nowhere, and ascending into heaven.20 Some friends don’t recognize him at first—and when they eventually do, he has to tell them not to be afraid.21 His body has been glorified, raised incorruptible, made new.22 Similarly, when God resurrects the world, it will be made new.
