Our goal in the Build Back Better legislation was to ensure that no parent who wants to work, or who has to work, would end up paying more than 7 percent of their income on childcare. The Republicans, of course, mischaracterized these provisions in the legislation. They call it socialism; I call it capitalism, and a great ROI.
