Finding Eden

"I guess if you choose to trust a snake, you deserve his venom."

I scrubbed my hands down my face and went back to the kitchen to finish my coffee and figure out my life.

"But what I did know was that I loved a girl. And I knew I loved her in a way I'd never, ever recover from. I knew I loved her to the very core of myself. And I knew she loved me back."

And I thought to myself, even though life could be horrifying and earth-shattering, terrible and tragic, it was also filled with moments of breathtaking beauty. And sometimes you just had to laugh.
