Adorned for the people is the love of desires, such as women, and children, and piles upon piles of gold and silver, and branded horses, and livestock, and fields. These are the conveniences of the worldly life, but with God lies the finest resort.
The patient, and the truthful, and the reverent, and the charitable, and the seekers of forgiveness at dawn.
Believers are not to take disbelievers for friends instead of believers. Whoever does that has nothing to do with God,
"If you love God, then follow me, and God will love you, and will forgive you your sins." God is Forgiving and Merciful.
"God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path."
Then to Me is your return; then I will judge between you regarding what you were disputing.
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a Monotheist, a Muslim. And he was not of the Polytheists.
Indeed, whoever fulfills his commitments and maintains piety-God loves the pious.
You will not attain virtuous conduct until you give of what you cherish. Whatever you give away, God is aware of it.
The parable of what they spend in this worldly life is that of a frosty wind that strikes the harvest of a people who have wronged their souls, and destroys it. God did not wrong them, but they wronged their own selves.
God made it but a message of hope for you, and to reassure your hearts thereby. Victory comes only from God the Almighty, the Wise.
And those who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God and ask forgiveness for their sins-and who forgives sins except God? And they do not persist in their wrongdoing while they know.
They did not waver for what afflicted them in the cause of God, nor did they weaken, nor did they give in. God loves those who endure.
So God gave them the reward of this world, and the excellent reward of the Hereafter. God loves the doers of good.
God thus tests what is in your minds, and purifies what is in your hearts. God knows what the hearts contain.
And when you make a decision, put your trust in God; God loves the trusting.
If God supports you, there is none who can overcome you.
The life of this world is merely enjoyment of delusion.
But if you persevere and lead a righteous life-that indeed is a mark of great determination.
Repentance is available from God for those who commit evil out of ignorance, and then repent soon after. These-God will relent towards them. God is Knowing and Wise.
God intends to make things clear to you, and to guide you in the ways of those before you, and to redeem you. God is Most Knowing, Most Wise.
28. God intends to lighten your burden, for the human being was created weak.
The good women are obedient, guarding what God would have them guard. As for those from whom you fear disloyalty, admonish them, and abandon them in their beds, then strike them.
God does not love the arrogant showoff.
And those who spend their money to be seen by people, and believe neither in God nor in the Last Day.
Whoever associates anything with God has devised a monstrous sin.
Have you not considered those who claim purity for themselves? Rather, God purifies whom He wills, and they will not be wronged a whit.
Or do they envy the people for what God has given them of His grace?
How about when a disaster strikes them because what their hands have put forward, and then they come to you swearing by God: "We only intended goodwill and reconciliation"?
"All is from God."
Whatever good happens to you is from God, and whatever bad happens to you is from your own self.
They profess obedience, but when they leave your presence, some of them conspire something contrary to what you said. But God writes down what they conspire. So avoid them, and put your trust in God. God is Guardian enough.
Whomever God leads astray-you will never find for him a way.
When you have completed the prayer, remember God, standing, or sitting, or on your sides.
We have revealed to you the Scripture, with the truth, so that you judge between people in accordance with what God has shown you. And do not be an advocate for the traitors.
And do not argue on behalf of those who deceive themselves. God does not love the deceitful sinner.
Whoever commits evil, or wrongs his soul, then implores God for forgiveness, will find God Forgiving and Merciful.
And Whoever earns a sin, earns it against himself. God is Aware and Wise.
There is no good in much of their private counsels, except for him who advocates charity, or kindness, or reconciliation between people. Whoever does that, seeking God's approval, We will give him a great compensation.
And who is better in religion than he who submits himself wholly to God, and is a doer of good, and follows the faith of Abraham the Monotheist?
Whoever desires the reward of this world-with God is the reward of this world and the next. God is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
Tafir:
great sins include
A) to join others in worship with Allah
B) to be undutiful to one's parents
C) to kill a person
D) to give a false witness
do not fear the blame of anypne or allow anyone to prevent them from doing something for the sake of Allah. They are also required to help, support and aid each other for Allah's sake.
Give correct testimony and say the truth when you are asked about it, evein if harm will affect you as a consquence.
Do not let desire, lust or the hatred you have against others, lure you into injustice in your affairs.
Stand firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even if against yourselves, or your parents, or your relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, God takes care of both. So do not follow your desires, lest you swerve. If you deviate, or turn away-then God is Aware of what you do.
140. He has revealed to you in the Book that when you hear God's revelations being rejected, or ridiculed, do not sit with them until they engage in some other subject. Otherwise, you would be like them.
Tasfir:
When they stand for prayer, they stand in laziness because they neither truly intend to perform it nor do they believe in it, have humulity in it or understand it. This is the description of their outward attitude!
They do not have sincerity worshippping Allah. Rather, they show off to people so that they gain closeness to them. They are often absent from the prayers that they can hide away from, such as the Isha prayer and the Fajr prayer that are prayed in darkness. If they knew their rewards they will attend them even if they have to crawl.
During the prayer they do not feel humbleness or pay attention to that they are reciting. Rather during their prayer, they are inattentive, jesting and avoid the good that they are meant to receive from prayer
The hypocrites try to deceive God, but He is deceiving them. And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing off in front of people, and remembering God only a little.
Wavering in between, neither with these, nor with those. Whomever God sends astray, you will never find for him a way.
