dominates life based primarily on the techniques and emotions of animal survival, which are aligned with pleasure, predation, and gain. As consciousness evolved over time, some animal species, as well as portions of humankind, rose to consciousness level 200, which is the major demarcation that heralds reliance on power rather than force.
Left-brain dominance is also reflected by limited or even nonexistent spiritual awareness since it is programmed for animal survival. The memories of this sequence of events are stored in the brain’s region of the hippocampus; thus, later recall will reawaken memory of the sequence as it was contextualized by the ego’s primitive survival goals and techniques. Memories are therefore negatively emotionalized and stored, along with fear, anxiety, anger, resentment, or pleasure of gain.
A person is vulnerable to emotional pain in exact relationship to
the degree of self-awareness and self-acceptance. When people admit their downside, others cannot attack them there. As a consequence, one feels emotionally less vulnerable and more safe and secure.
Thus, by virtue of what we are, we subtly influence events around us.
By trial and error, it is discovered that the cost of compromise is not worth the risk to the confidence to which integrity becomes accustomed.
Fear of failure is diminished by realizing that one is responsible for the intention and effort but not the result, which is dependent on many other conditions and factors that are nonpersonal.
As in the martial arts, a rigid position becomes a point of vulnerability—that which does not bend is liable to break.
Courage is required because the level of Courage still sees problems or difficulties that require effort and determination to work through them. Thus, seeming obstacles may really be projected anticipations; however, they do not arise from reality but from residual positionalities.
In contrast, the level of Neutrality does not project dualistic perceptions because it has dropped positionalities, such as the obstacles to courage created by doubt, anticipatory anxiety, or unfamiliarity. Freedom ensues from not having an emotional investment in outcomes or insistence on narcissistic goals, such as having it ‘my way’. Neutrality is not interested in egoistically winning, controlling others, or acquiring gain. It is content to attract rather than promote.
A general attitude of this level is that of being interested but not emotionally involved, thus allowing for an easygoing and pleasant attitude because there is nothing really ‘at stake’. Devoid of the need of ‘winning’ or ‘gaining’, Neutrality is relatively self-sufficient and content to be what it is.‘Take it or leave it’ is an attitude of confidence and intrinsic worth that needs nothing from others.
The freedom of Neutrality is the consequence of the letting go of positionalities, conditions, and expectations.
It is important to differentiate nonattachment from detachment.
While the Void is a very impressive state, in contrast, Allness is the ultimate state.
The pathway to the state of Enlightenment is via nonattachment rather than negation.
Without fear of either attraction or aversion, Neutrality allows for participation and the enjoyment of life because, experientially, life becomes more like play than a high-stakes involvement.
Thus, life becomes effortless and existence itself is pleasurable, without conditions, and easygoing like a cork in the sea.
Whereas Courage sees challenges, Neutrality sees principles and guidelines rather than demands or rigid rules.
In Neutrality, one is grateful to have escaped the inner house of mirrors by the process of letting go and surrendering.
Willingness implies that one has overcome inner resistance to life and is committed to participation.
Spiritual dedication and effort bring unanticipated rewards that confirm the validity of the commitment.
There is a greater sense of aliveness and appreciation for life as its quality progressively improves. The experience is subjective, nonlinear, and subtle but all pervasive.
Willingness is cheerful, helpful, and voluntary. It has the extra energy that would otherwise be wasted on resistance, delay, and complaints.
In successful relationships, this results in a mutuality of partners as helpmates and companions. This mutuality is the result of alignment with each other’s welfare rather than just the more animal-driven emotional involvement that often has a fractious downside. With mutuality, partners proceed side by side, whereas with involvement, the relationship is better described as ‘entanglement’, with pulling in different directions for control.
Many truly charitable people see it as an honor to be allowed to serve others and are unaware that it simultaneously subserves the accumulation of karmic merit.
The primary limitation is the identification of the source of one’s life as a separate personality that becomes identified as volition itself. The understanding yet to be realized is that everything happens as a consequence of potentiality’s manifesting as actuality when conditions are appropriate, and that the will and intention are the trigger but not the primary cause of this evolutionary stage.
At level 350, by acceptance, tranquility replaces disturbing emotions so that the interference of emotionality fades into the background rather than determines feelings.
The success of level 350 is based on the willingness to apply the principle of forgiveness in order to counterbalance morality and judgmentalism. Thus, vindictiveness is replaced by mercy, which allows for greater inner, as well as interpersonal and social, harmony and well-being. Error is seen to be in need of correction, forgiveness, and compassion rather than the justification for punitive attitudes or actions.
By surrendering the wish to change or control others, there is a
reciprocal freedom of not being controllable by others’ opinions and values, nor is there a desire or need for their approval.
On the contrary, with humility, it loses false value and accepts its true power and function that increase spiritual energy and power, thereby influencing the world, especially through the collective consciousness of mankind.
Acceptance declines drama and allows calm plurality without getting marginalized by the inflation of pumped-up positionalities that, by their very inflation, attract argument and attack. Acceptance brings peace by inclusion rather than by rejection or denunciation, thus offering the security necessary for the development of rationality and the intellect.
Reason is disciplined by the dialectic of logic as a necessity to discern the linear truth of confirmable facts.
The limitation of the mind is evidenced by its structure in that the functional ego is linear, dualistic, and dominated
by the Newtonian paradigm of causality that reinforces the illusion of a separate, personal ‘I’ as a self-actualizing causal agent.
Spiritual study utilizes the intellect to reveal that the intellect itself has to be transcended from ‘knowing about’ to ‘becoming’, which it accomplishes by spiritual practice, discipline, and devotion.
The well-disciplined mind should only speak when requested to perform a task.
The move is from what the world considers ‘objective’ to experiential subjectivity as the dominant quality of awareness experience.
love emanates from the heart. It has the capacity to lift others and accomplish great feats because of its purity of motive.
This necessitates surrendering love as a positive attachment so that it can become an overall contextualization and potentiality to align life as a way of being in the world rather than as an exclusive emotion between separates. As a result, love becomes not a quantitative emotion but an expression of essence whereby loving becomes lovingness and, by identification, eventually becomes what one ‘is’.
The silent, nonverbal benefit of being in the actual presence of such a teacher is advantaged by the silent transmission of the high-frequency energy of the teacher’s aura (the ‘Silent Teaching’, ‘Transmission of No-Mind’, ‘Grace of the Teacher’, or Benediction).
Then comes the realization that what appears to be miraculous is merely the constant unfolding of the potentiality of the evolution of Creation by which the subjective experience of time dissolves and is replaced by the knowingness of all Is-ness. Likewise, the perception of ‘change’ is replaced by the progressive emergence of the ongoingness of Creation as becoming the fulfillment of potentiality’s actualizing into manifestation.
The body is seen as merely a tool of consciousness through the intervention of mind, with its prime value being that of communication.
The people in the world consider the sage to be an individual person. Initially, this is rather surprising because there is no individual person present to be spoken to. What evolves is the development of an interface with the world, best described as a ‘persona’. It is not the inner reality but it meets the world’s expectations that perceive the Self to be located as a separate individual body and a separate identity (the ‘personality’). In
a manner of speaking, these expectations of the world are somewhat humored by at least approximations in order to dispel comment, for the interchanges are of a greater dimension than the world perceives.
By alignment with surrender to being a channel of God’s will, one’s life thereby becomes transformed into a prayer by which one is that prayer.
Thus, it can be said that truth is always true because there is only one truth to be discovered.
In traditional spiritual languaging, each of these advanced levels is ‘guarded’ by the ‘dragons’ of a duality. This is especially true at level 850 where the presenting limitation to be transcended is the conundrum of the seeming opposites/alternatives of whether the ultimate Reality is Allness versus Nothingness, or is Existence versus Nonexistence.
Suddenly, out of Nothingness and nonawareness, there was the shock of not only Existence, but also the discovery of physicality and that a body accompanied the return from Nothingness to Beingness. Thus, in this lifetime, the dilemma at calibration level 850 was initially presented strongly in early life, and it recurred later, at which time it was rejected and transcended. (It took thirty-eight years to resolve.)
In contrast, Divine Love is predominant, powerful, overwhelming, and the primary quality or essence of the Presence. It is profound and unconditional, with no subject or object. It is not an emotionality but a condition or a state that is liberating rather than limiting. The Void (cal. 850) is comparable to infinite, empty, conscious space. In contrast, the Presence of Divinity is like the heart of the sun. There is no mistaking it for the Love is realized as the very core and Source of one’s primary Self.
