I silently followed her as she clumsily made her way to her room. She was completely unaware of the monster behind her. How naïve. But then, she didn’t have to worry. I might be a monster, but I was her monster. I would protect her from everyone and everything in this world that would try to harm her.
Because she didn’t know about my ownership over her yet, I decided to forgive her. I won’t punish her… too much. And I won’t kill the owner. Doesn’t mean I won’t break the fucker’s hands when the time comes. Look at me, being merciful and shit.
I wasn’t going to let past grievances go. Fuck being a bigger person.
“What are the chances I would be running into you again?” I said. A hundred percent. That was the chance—I made sure of it. “It must be fate.” It was my obsession.
“How about a date?” I shot him a look. “You’re going to make me go on a date with you for helping me with my flat tire?” “Not gonna make you, baby. But perhaps you might feel sorry for me enough to say yes.”
He shook his head. “Lift your hips for me, baby.”
“I got you,” he cooed at me. “Why don’t you be my good girl and come for me?”
I was sure it would only anger her to know her hits felt more like a kitten doing biscuits on me.
She convulsed beneath me. “Please, Mael. I don’t think I can—” “You can,” I bit out. “You’re made for me. You can take all I give you, won’t you, sweet girl?”
I scowled. If my hands were free, I would have punched him in the throat.
She was cute if she thought that would deter me. “I don’t care. Use me, however and whenever you want. I don’t care as long as you belong to me.”
“How could you not know that you are the very air I breathe? That when I wake up in the morning, it’s you I think about. That you haunt my waking moments and my dreams. That you are everything. I am utterly, completely, and obsessively in love with you.”
I crouched down so that we were at eye level with each other. “What’s got my girl so annoyed?”
“I’m not asking,” he said. “Asking means you have a choice in the matter. You don’t.”
