Losing a loved one can send you to a place worse than death. I know that better than most.
Being the one left behind feels like a curse, not a blessing.
“Love is like water. It can take many different shapes, go through many different stages and forms, and yet it remains the same.”
It’s easier to sleep when someone you love is near.
There are weights you bear alone because the truth will crush someone you love.

People lie. We are frail, flawed creatures. It seems silly to hold being human against someone.
I would choose you every time. I don’t care what the consequences are.”
Hurt remains whether you intended to do it or not. If you stab someone, they still bleed. It doesn’t matter if it was a jab or an accident.
This isn’t an alliance—this is a family. One to live for and die with.
Remember that people with good hearts are but pawns in the games of god kings.
“So much for playing the hero. Let’s go and be villains.”
Men seeking atonement are odd. They’ll do anything except forgive themselves.
“But I love you,” I say. A smile breaks through her tears. “That’s the first time you’ve ever said that.”
“I’ll love you for tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.”
