What about how hard it’s been for me? I went to every appointment by myself! I worked my entire pregnancy carrying twins! When they’re sick, it’s on me! Hell, when I’m sick, there are no days off. I’m supposed to look pretty and not complain because I’m a mother.”
“Sometimes, all that passion feels like a warm breeze. Other times, it feels like an inferno, but you’ll be fine.

“Motherhood changes you. It rewires your brain, but you looked happy that night. Free,” Dana replied carefully before advising. “If being with Syx makes you happy. Do it. You don’t want to be in your forties, married, miserable, and have nothing to show for your own life.”
