"I hate you," I breathe, the words barely audible. "You'll hate me more when you come for the first time with dirt under your knees."
"Beg," he says again, rougher now. "Tell me what you want."
"That's it," he growls. "Just like that. You look so fucking pretty when you break for me."
"You. Shh. It's Beckett Sinclair. He invented suits. Probably emerged from the womb wearing a three-piece Armani."
"You're dressed like a prayer," he replies, voice like velvet over gravel. "I'm just waiting to see what you pray for first."
The first stroke is violent—a slash of red across virgin white that feels like tearing open a vein. It releases something in me, some pent-up energy that's been building since the moment I woke up
"You're mine," I whisper, rough and reverent, burying my face in her hair. "And I'm never letting go. I'll burn this whole fucking world down before I lose you."
They're about to discover that I protect what's mine with nothing short of total annihilation.
"You've covered me in your colors," I murmur, dragging my mouth over her skin, teeth grazing. "Now let me cover you in mine."
"Then do it. Paint me ruined. Paint me yours."
