Lots of people fritter away their lives complaining that they were never able to find their true calling. But the truth is that most of us probably don’t even have one.
I’m not really sure what he’s doing the rest of the time—working on his computer, playing video games, sleeping—but he’s always up in his room and he makes very little noise. Perhaps he’s just taking a little break from life.
Maybe that’s how it worked when he was a kid, but things are different now. Nobody really has any “friends”—I’m not even sure what that means.
I began to realize that I was slowly becoming as stupid as they were—and that there was actually something unusually pleasant about being stupid.
