the first colonisation of Ireland seems to have taken place ca 1484 BC (the 2520th year after the Creation).13 It was the colony led by one Partholan, which landed in the estuary of the river Kenmare. Partholan himself was to die thirty years later in about 1454 BC or Anno Mundi [the year of the world] 2550.
