“Every cocktail starts with its base, whether that be jin, watka, wuiskey, rhum, or mezcalium, or one of the lesser-known spirits. Each one brings a unique flavor to the drink. I could bore you with the histories and regional differences of each one, but I will leave it at this. You can learn a lot about a person’s personality from the alcohol they consume, and when I design a drink, I want the person drinking it to feel like their truest self.”
