Today’s traditional houses serve not only as places to store stuff but also, in a weird way, as places that pay homage to stuff. Traditional design focuses on where to put stuff within the home rather than identifying how people interact with the elements of the home—how the home makes us feel and how designs can compel us to connect both with each other inside the home and with the outside world.
