“I love you too,” she says on a rushed breath, the words bursting from her lungs as though she’s been holding them in as long as I have. A gorgeous, relieved smile blooms across her face, tears filling her big blue eyes as she stares up at me. My head rears back, caught completely off guard not only by the fact that she heard and believes my words, but reciprocates them. She fucking loves me back.
