I js thought abt a theory- what if, Lore is the fairy king? Coz Nerida didn't say he died, js that he wasn't himself, and at the beginning it was mentioned that Lore was driven mad possibly. Plus she locked him up herself, with the five and maybe that leads to her ruling faery alone.
