His face lights up. I don't know why he's happy that he's trying to make out with a pajama wearing, frozen, virgin kisser. That doesn't sound like happy times at all.
He looks at me like I'm crazy. I am. Him and his stupid hair, and his stupid uniform, and his stupid smirk-the-jerk face have made me crazy.
“I'm sorry about what I said yesterday, but I don't like the thought of sharing you either. No more games. You're my girl now, Luce.” And I swoon. Just a little.
I've never really been the physical type, but apparently she makes me punchy.
I don't hesitate. I don't skip a beat. “You, Cameron. You changed. You came into my life and you healed me. You made me feel alive again.” I tell him the truth, and with that, I give him my heart. Forever.
I move my hand lower. His eyes drift shut. Lower. He lets out a groan. And then I touch it. “Shit,” he breathes. “Penis,” I squeak.
“Sometimes I think that this—you and me—this could be as good as it gets for the rest of my life and that would be perfect. I feel like I've loved you for eternity, and it's not even close to long enough.
“You can't forgive my actions based on my words. Forgive me when my actions have proven that I deserve it.”
“Because it's eternal, the rise and fall of the sun. It's forever. Just like us.”
Love has no limits. No boundaries. No time. It's eternal. Forever.
“I love you, Lucy. I'll always love you, even if you don't know it. So… even if forever isn't eternal, I promise to love you for our forever.”
“He'll make it right.” I eye her now, wondering how she's so sure and I'm not. “What makes you say that?” “Because he's Cameron. And you’re Lucy. You're team Luca. You guys are forever. If you two can't make it work, then we're all screwed.”
“You can keep your two wishes, I'll just take the one. I want my girl. My Lucy. My forever. And not just for our forever, but for eternity, and for always.”
