And you know how I know all this? Because while she's so pre-occupied reading… I'm so pre-occupied reading her.
“Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, please return yourself, and all your ‘Good Vibrations,’ back to your office. There's a beautiful girl sitting at your desk. No need for alarm. Apparently she's just here to sniff around.”
“You make my world stop, Lucy.”
“You can't forgive my actions based on my words. Forgive me when my actions have proven that I deserve it.”
“Because it's eternal, the rise and fall of the sun. It's forever. Just like us.”
“Quit moaning like a dick deprived whore and get out of my seat.” She crosses her arms and takes an intimidating step forward.
Love has no limits. No boundaries. No time. It's eternal. Forever.
And as I look down at my little baby girl, I've never felt such truth before. So Mom, if you can somehow read this—from where you sit in your fluffy clouds in heaven—I want you to know that you were right. There's absolutely no love greater than the one you have for your children. Nothing.
Five years on and his words still have the ability to make me blush. To make me fall in a new type of love, every single day.
“You can keep your two wishes, I'll just take the one. I want my girl. My Lucy. My forever. And not just for our forever, but for eternity, and for always.”
'There is a love so fierce it cannot be measured. A heart so strong it will never slow. There is a promise so sure it can never lie. And we promise that love forever. Forever and always.'
“I love you, Luce,” he whispers. And it doesn't matter how many times he says it, the words have never lost their meaning. And they never will. Because it's more than just words spoken, it's his arms around me when I feel like I'm falling. It's his lips on mine, kissing away the pain. It's our hands holding as he leads me into the water to let me break. It's us—chest to chest—helping each other heal. It's us—giving each other Hope. I turn to him now, letting the sun set behind me. “Forever, Cameron. I love you, forever.”
