Chinese officers at Ramgarh were trained in tactics and combat techniques and the men in the handling of rifles, machine guns, mortars, rocket-launchers, antitank guns and other equipment for specialized combat duties. After mastering the weapons they were given an eight-day course in jungle warfare. The six-week artillery course taught the handling of pack artillery and the use of howitzers and assault guns in jungle conditions.
