Making me think about my hubby

Valentine’s Day. It was Valentine’s Day. I found myself unable to admit, even to my own sister, that Ryan and I had forgotten.

“Isn’t it nice,” he says, “once you’ve outgrown the ideas of what life should be and you just enjoy what it is?”

“All you have to do is never give up,” he says.

This gave me goosebumps

the sun will always rise. Always.

But there simply isn’t a rule that works for every marriage, for every love, for every family, for every relationship.

Here is what I can tell you. All that matters in this life is that you try. All that matters is that you open your heart, give everything you have, and keep trying.
