For everyone who has ever felt weird or abnormal. Fuck the haters. You’re perfect as you are.
Cooper, at least, has the decency to appear apologetic. “Shit. Asher, I’m sorry.” He hesitates, then offers, “You can take the couch?” “Honestly?” I bend down and pick up my bags, shaking my head. “I’d rather cut off my dick with a rusty spoon at this point.”
He might be a cheater, and incredibly selfish, but he isn’t a horrible person. Or maybe I’m just that starved for affection.
“Sexuality is a spectrum. BDSM and kink is a spectrum within the spectrum. None of it is shameful.”
“That was a poor choice of words on my part, baby. You will never be a disappointment. The choices you made to break the rules and ignore me? Yeah. But never you.”
Charlie made it clear at the very beginning that he’s waiting on me to set the pace for new experiences, and I appreciate that so much…but sometimes I just want him to make the decision for me.
“You finally remembered that you have parents, huh?” “I texted you last week.” I sigh dramatically, deliberately poking the bear. “You sent a thumbs up when I texted to say hi.”
“And I love you for the person you are inside. The rest is fun, but we can work around it. We can get creative.” The unknowing way he echoes my original attempt to console myself makes me smile. “Yeah?” I ask him, waggling my eyebrows suggestively. He chuckles. “Yeah.” My tone dips low and flirtatious, and I’m already forgetting my worries. “I’d like to know what sort of creative ideas you have.” “I’m still in the room,” Ted says through some obviously fake coughing, and the moment between me and Ash is broken, though we laugh about it.
