God knows eyeballs can be downright bland, when not prepared correctly.
“Ring around the silence, tied up nice and neat. A pocket full of fingers, snipped and cooked to eat. Ashes… ashes… We laugh as you go down...”
“Ring around your heartbeat, thump, thump, thump, it beats too loud. Dark voices spin, round and round. A pocket full of blood and memories, buried where you sleep. Ashes… ashes…You’ll beg and scream without a sound for me.“
Something in me, call it boredom, or maybe it’s the lick of excitement starting at the base of my spine, wants to play with her, to see how far we can take it, before she goes screaming out of here,
It brings me a sadistic glee.
If I’m the spider, my brother Wren is something even more methodical, sinister, and dangerous.
A trifecta of deadly sins.
I feared that my interest in them was becoming all-consuming.
I have no doubt that, given the chance, they would both hurt me without the slightest hesitation. I’m not naive or stupid. The problem is that I think, deep down inside, if I were to examine myself, in the parts I like to hide, I might like that. No, not like, I might crave that.
Wellard is a place where evil is trapped, maggots fill every available inch, and madness is ripping at the seams, demanding to get out. These two before me are no exception. They’re evil, but so are you.
“Why am I not screaming or crying in your head, Wren?”
“Because we haven’t torn you apart, bitch, but when we do, you’ll scream, you’ll cry, you’ll beg, and then you’ll sing for us,“ Bash grits through his teeth,
“I’ll see you in my dreams, Doctor. You and that pretty tongue, we’ll have a feast together.”
“Ring around your silence… A pocket full of screams… we’re coming for you, dolly... you’re already ours to eat.”
You did massacre that poor guard your first month here, when he made that mistake. It was so satisfying to pluck his eyeballs out with our fingers, and eat them, while the other orderlies and guards watched in stupefied horror, the clown’s sing-song voice replies.
You’re mine, little toy, and you’ll always be mine. I’m going to make sure you understand that real soon.
In the corner of my mind, something dark and sinister crawls out of the cracks, and whispers: She’ll come to you. She’s already yours. Just wait, soon, you will own her mind, body, and soul.
The attraction between you is unhinged, and destructive, and yet you crave it anyway.
They’re not the only ones unraveling. They are not the only ones filled with dark desires.
Oh, little toy, I’ll have to teach you how to better conceal your responses, otherwise, the other monsters will tear you apart. We can’t have that, now that you belong to me and Wren.
She was ours the minute she stepped into that first session with us, and we have no intentions of ever letting her go, not even in death. The devil can’t have you… we saw you first.
“Keep lying to yourself all you want, Doctor. It won’t change our ending. You belong to me, and you always will.”
The Carnevils know where you live now. They know how to get you. You will never be free again. You belong to them.
“What opens legs but isn’t a key, and likes it best when you beg, not plea? I’ll give you a hint, pretty porcelain doll, it rhymes with me.”
“I ask no questions, take no bribes, I house the screams and hide the knives. Enter once, and none may flee... I keep the secrets... wait and see.”
