Before Alex’s story begins, I want you to know I always try to write from the viewpoint that most people aren’t inherently good or bad. We are all just people who sometimes do bad things and sometimes good things. In my attempt to portray characters realistically, we are left with multifaceted, messy people who rarely have the benefit of thinking through their actions. This book will take you on that experience. It will have you asking questions, maybe even relating to the heartbreak and the self-sabotage, but above all else, I hope this book is one you can enjoy.
“Don’t need to. Anyways, Angel, the mustache is because I can. I pull it off. Not many can. So it’s a fuck you to the non-mustached, of sorts.” “Well, being a non-mustached human myself, I take offense.”
“Some people, baby,” he looks at me, “are irredeemable. And some are just people who have done bad things.”
“Why do I need to tell someone to apologize? If they did something wrong, I want them to acknowledge that on their own. Otherwise, it doesn’t mean anything.” He has a point, but still, what is the point?
