THIS IS NOT A LITERARY MASTERPIECE. IT’S NOT EVEN LITERARY MASTERPIECE ADJACENT.
Do not take this book too seriously. It was written to be a fun read with a bit of “that’s fucked up” thrown into the mix. You might have a good time. You might not. Good luck.
When the door opened, the two gathered their hopefully-not-dead birds and snuck inside.
When you fall in love and the other person doesn’t catch you, you break more than a bone when hitting the ground. You break everything. Your heart. Your soul. Your confidence in yourself. It all just shatters. They must call it falling because when it’s over, you can feel your heart fall to your feet right before it breaks against the hard truth.
Violet, oh beautiful seamstress who will save me from stabbing myself, would you do me the pleasure of allowing me to take you to dinner?”
“Take this as a warning. Whoever touches what is mine will suffer dearly for it. You stood by and watched as an innocent woman suffered.”
Griff, If you ever throw an apple at Violet again, I will cut your fucking arm off. Roman P.S. Stop taking her to watch sweaty men fight.
You are my true mate, and I’m done caring if telling you what’s on my mind scares you.
“I’ll have you sitting on my face at some point, and you’re worried about sharing an underarm crystal?”
“You let her fall,” Violet said to Roman after the others left toward their respective homes. Roman hiked a shoulder. “I told you I’d stay away from her.”
“I had them all commissioned to fit us.” After being unable to fit under her kitchen table the day Titus left, Roman knew something needed to be done. He’d not let her hide on her own ever again.
If he found out someone had kept a letter Violet wrote from him, they’d not survive to live another day. Her words were his and no one else’s.
It should horrify her. It should make her feel a lot of things. More in love than ever shouldn’t be one of them.
“It looks like a rabid dog bit you.” “One did,” Slayton added
The corner of his mouth tipped up. It was a game they played now—him threatening people and Violet pretending to not take him seriously.
“Let him protect you in the only way he knows how.” Violet balked. “The only way he knows how is murder.” Sarah lifted a shoulder. “So be it.”
I am not going to name anyone because my goldfish brain will forget someone and then I will think about it for the rest of my life.
