No one wants that woman yelling at them, scary bastard that she is.
Maybe I should take her down my hoodie and… What? Shut the fuck up, Kade.
Yep. He can keep his crazy; I have my own.
I wouldn’t usually try to socialise but colour me fucking intrigued.
“She’s not yours.” Kade chuckles. “She’s not yours either. Clearly.” He points behind Chris. “Leave.”
He makes Tobias Mitchell look like a saint.
“We can pretend if you want. I know you’d rather be doing this with anyone else. I won’t be offended. Really.” Well I’m fucking offended.
Kyle: I’m uncomfortable with the delayed response. I wish to retract my question.
“Rock your hips into my cock, Freckles,” he whispers quietly, and I nearly whimper. “I fucking dare you.”
“When I find out who hurt you, I’m going to fucking destroy them. I’ll make sure to bleed them dry then fuck you next to their corpse. You got that?”
I’m a creation of being used and abused, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it. It’s my life now; I just need to live it.
“It was a dare.” The corner of my mouth curls. “Then I dare you to kiss me again.”
Regardless, he can’t have Stacey. I’ve claimed her and no one else can have her but me. Kind of. I think. Probably not, but I’d like to. Wait. How does one claim a person?
“Be patient with me,” is all I say before I capture her lips with mine.
Me. Kade Mitchell, at the age of eighteen, holds hands with a girl for the first time. And I like it.
“You are Death,” he says in a low, slurred mumble. “Your time will come. You and your whore.”
Freckles, darling, I’m a fucking animal. You should’ve seen me Jackie Chan my shit today.
Me: Shut up. Freckles: Your communication skills are shit. What does shut up mean in this context? Me: If you don’t come to my room later, I’ll kidnap you from your bed and drag you here. Freckles: Oh, okay. That’s slightly threatening but a little sweet.
I should have done this years ago. Maybe if I did, I would have had her for longer. She’d be my girlfriend by now, and everyone would know she was mine and I was hers.
“We’re going slow,” she says. “Right?” We.
“You’re just my friend anyway.” I narrow my eyes to slits. “Say that again and I’m going to kick you out of this car and drive away.”
“I’m not asking, Freckles. You’re going on a date with me.”
“Mani pārdod seksam un nāvei, lai aizsargātu visus, kurus mīlu.” Kade leans into me more, raising his other hand between us to tuck another strand of hair behind my ear. I tilt my head, utterly confused by whatever language he’s speaking. He licks his lips. “Tajā skaitā jūs, vasaras raibumi.”
I’m going to take Freckles on the best first date ever.
“We’re all broken in some way, Tobias. But we can also be fixed.”
Hurting Stacey would kill me.
She feels like mine. Stacey Rhodes is mine.
She’s the definition of beautiful, and she wants me. She belongs to me. I’m whipped, and she isn’t even my girlfriend.
“Little liar.”
“You still taste like mine, Freckles.”
“More what?” I ask. “Of you. This. The way it feels.” Same. Fucking same here.
“Because you’re hiding, and I want to hide with you.” I caress her cheek and press my lips to her forehead, catching her off guard. “Let’s hide together, Freckles.”
“Fuck you!” I yell over the music. “Fucking fuck you, Kade Mitchell!” I hear the smile as he says, “I will as soon as we stop.” “I’m going to kill you.” He laughs again.
“Your cough sounds like you have asthma.”
“Kiss me,” he says. “If you want me to beg, then I’ll fucking beg you to kiss me, Stacey. Please.” The last word is a whisper.
At least I got to kiss her.
