“I bet you don’t even love her, which is such a shame. Love really is the only thing that makes life worth living.”
“Such a good girl,” he croons, and a soft moan escapes me at his words.
Every cell in my body is screaming at me to claim what’s mine in front of every idiot in this club.
Within those beautiful eyes is a sadness and isolation I have to untangle. Whoever put that hurt in her will pay dearly one day.
I offer up my hand and he engulfs it with his own. There’s a spark of something when our skin touches, but it could just be my half-hungover and startled state imagining things.
I’ve never been the jealous type, but suddenly just the thought of Zavier with other women has me feeling like I want to stake claim to him.
“Celine.” A growl sounds in my throat. “Unless you want me to cover your neck in my marks and spank your ass raw, you’ll sit still.”

Just how I want him. “It won’t change me into a vampire will it?” I question. “Well no but ...” He trails off with obvious desire in his eyes fixed on my neck. “I trust you.” I pull his head snugly against my pulsing throat and encourage him to do what we both so badly want. “Bite me, Zavier.”
“Listen to me, Celine Brennan. We may be fated mates but no magnetic pull dictates who or what I do. Yes, it may initially bring us together in a way it wouldn’t for others, but we still have free will. If I wasn’t insanely attracted to you both mentally and physically, I wouldn’t be here. You are the most stunning, intelligent, kind creature I’ve ever crossed paths with, and I worship the ground you walk on.” Her cheeks stain a pretty pink at my praise so I continue. “Pretty girl, you’re my everything. We haven’t known each other long considering the length of my life thus far, but up until
