“Does she know I made her a widow?”
Then my gaze shifts to the mouse hiding against Grace’s side, and my top lip curls. Definitely not my kind of woman.
I need months to recover from one day of social interaction,
I move my hand up and cup her cheek with my palm while standing rooted to the spot.
lean closer to her again and match my breathing to her fast puffs. Just like I used to do with Evinka, I gradually slow my breathing, and I’m pleased when Grace’s body follows suit as her breaths slow down until they’re regular again.
The corner of my mouth lifts in a dangerous smirk as I keep my eyes locked on Grace. “Fiery blonds who are too brave for their own good.” Tilting my head, my tone drops low until I sound predatory. “I bet you’d taste spicy.” My eyes flick to the mouse, who’s watching us with huge blue eyes, before I look back at Grace. “I don’t have a sweet tooth at all.”
Knowing she’s marked my skin makes my cock harden as satisfaction creeps into my chest.
Suddenly, the small bottle is taken from me, and Dominik says, “Keep your head tilted back.”
“Dobré dievča,” he murmurs, his deep voice sounding so intimate my eyes pop open, and I quickly pull away from him.
My eyes flick to Grace, and the longer I stare at her, the faster my heart beats.
“But you made all the food,” I argue. “For you,” he mutters.
“Not anymore,” I reply. With my eyes locked with hers, I admit, “There’s you as well.”
“Interrupt me again when I’m talking to my wife, and I’ll fucking kill you,” Dominik growls angrily before heading down the stairs.
He coughs, and drops of his blood hit my neck and armored vest, then he sinks down to his knees, and a grin forms on my face. “That’s right, kneel.”
She laughs at something he says, and it has me grabbing the phone again. “Don’t make my wife laugh,” I mutter into the speaker.
