“Fuck it.” Jasper claimed my mouth, rough and passionate and nothing like the softness from earlier.
I chuckled, while trying to catch my breath. “You’re awfully sure of yourself.”
It may have been pure coincidence, but at what point is a coincidence a carefully calculated plan and you just get caught up in the game?
But Jasper looked at me like I was a goddess above that came back to Earth.
“Teach me how to fight.”
“Like as a sexy role play, or self defense fighting.”
The gold around Jasper’s green eyes twinkled, and for the first time, I watched Jasper Rivers release a river from his eyelids.
“I can put a swing underneath the branches, and me and Robin can build a treehouse for the baby.”
I imagine the life that we can have, but I will also not hesitate to kill anyone who dares to lay a pinkie on you.
She should remain safe, but if anyone lays a hand on the mother of my child, I expect you to drag whoever sick bastard goes near her to me so I can slit their throat and sling their head back to the Kymerian border where they belong.”
“Spare him his life. I want him to be alive to see the consequences he’ll suffer.”
And I wasn’t a little girl any more.
I wasn’t a pawn to be used in her game.
